Dr Mandar Gadgil was a member of a small surgeons' group who held a 'Totally Free' camp at Ma Danteshwari Hospital in remote part of Gadchiroli district under the aegis of SEARCH foundation headed by Padmashree awardee couple Dr Abhay and Dr Rani Bang. A total of 47 Laparoscopic surgeries were performed in a span of 30 hours on 19th and 20th February 2022.
Dr Mandar Gadgil is now an Executive Committee member for west zone for the Hernia Society of India.
