Endometrial Cancer Screening :
At the time of menopause, all women should be informed about the risks and symptoms of Endometrial cancer. Women should report any unexpected bleeding or spotting to their doctors. There is no standard or routine screening test for endometrial cancer.
Tests that may detect Endometrial cancer are :
Ovarian cancer screening :
Screening should start at age 30 to 35, or 5 to 10 years earlier than the age when the youngest family member was diagnosed. Screening may include a blood test for CA 125 and a pelvic ultrasound( Transvaginal).
Colon and Rectal Cancer Screening :
Most men and women over the age of 45-50 should undergo routine screening for colon and rectal cancer, up until age 75. The "preferred screening" recommended by the American College of Gastroenterologists is a colonoscopy every 10 years. The ACS recommends screening beginning at age 50 (unless you are considered "high risk," are positive, a colonoscopy should be done.)
Lung Cancer Screening :
There are approximately 120 million smokers in India. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), India is home to 12% of the world's smokers.
No tests to check for lung cancer in people who are at average risk. However, they do have screening guidelines for those who are at high risk of lung cancer due to cigarette smoking.
Screening might be right for you if you meet the following:
Screening is done with a yearly low-dose CT scan (LDCT) of the chest.
Vaginal ultrasound to screen both uterus and ovarian cancer.
